As we know that the school was closed on account of pandemic in March 2020. On 15th September, 2020 it was re-opened, following special SOPs for the safety of our students and staff. Half of the students of each class were allowed to join school on alternative days. Students were carefully guided about the use of masks and using hand sanitizers during and after school hours.
On 28th September 2020 and on 10th February 2021 Director Medical 4 Corps, Brig Dr Bilal and Col IS Col Shakeel visited the school along with LGES Staff Dr Raheela. They observed the arrangements for the safety from Covid-19 during school daily routine. They showed their satisfaction on the implementation of SOPs.
On 21st September, 2020 Chairman LGES visited our institution for the inspection of SOPs of Covid-19. He showed his satisfaction on all the arrangements which were made in the school for the safety of the students' health. He appreciated the efforts of the management and the staff of the school for the arrangements and implementation on SOPs regarding Covid-19.
School arranged Online Support Programme for their students during Covid-19 Lock down. Garrison Academy for Boys, started online classes on Zoom and Google Classroom for the students and it was made sure that students got every care and guidance regarding their studies as well as intellectual and moral development. Online assessments were also conducted and their results were discussed with the students and their parents.
Living nations always value their independence and celebrate it as symbol of dignity and perseverance. Special virtual class assemblies were arranged by class teachers on 14th August. The students delivered speeches to share their patriotic emotions for their dear homeland. They paid tribute to the freedom fighters of Pakistan movement whose devotion and dedication brought independence for us. They also shared their videos how they celebrated Independence Day at their home during lockdown. Students sang National songs to show their feeling of patriotism during the online session.
New Regional Director, Madam Tehmina Jafery visited our school on 22nd October 2020. Principal and both Section Heads warmly welcomed her. She visited newly constructed Computer Lab, new Staff Kitchen for senior School and Activity Room of Middle School. She had an informal interaction with some students. Students loved her company and got good pieces of advice from her about precautionary measures related to Covid-19 safety.
School Students Council is always an effective medium to inculcate leadership and management skills to the students. Students participate in election activities enthusiastically and vote for their favourite leaders. On 21st October 2020 this interesting activity was conducted. Students casted their votes to select Head Boy and Presidents of different clubs of the school. An elegant Investiture ceremony was held, where principal awarded sashes and badges to the selected students. All members of the Students Council took oath to work for the better cause of school development.
